BRIEF REPORT ON SENSITIZATION ON FOOD SAFETY AND HYGIENE AT THE RADIO STATION.
A sensitization programme on food safety and hygiene was conducted at Abibirem FM on March 26 in Kade to educate the public, particularly food vendors and handlers, on safe food practices. The session focused on key issues, including personal hygiene, proper food handling, safe storage, preventing contamination, and effective waste management.
The programme was delivered through a live discussion, with opportunities for listeners to call in and ask questions. There was active participation, indicating public interest in food safety matters.
In conclusion, the sensitization was successful in raising awareness on food hygiene practices. It is recommended that similar programmes be organized regularly to promote public health and prevent food borne diseases.
