THE MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY OF KWAEBIBIREM CELEBRATES THE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER AND THANKSGIVING
The Kwaebibirem Municipal Assembly was able to effectively organize their version of the event in accordance with the instruction from the President of the Republic of Ghana, who declared July 1st to be a National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving. With the theme “Reflect, Reset and Renewal for National Prosperity,”the ceremony was held at the Pentecost Church and attracted a sizable throng from all across the city.
The purpose of the assembly was to express national gratitude to God for His mercies and protection over the nation, as well as to collectively seek divine guidance. Honorable Emmanuel Kofi Nti, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), graced the occasion by giving the introductory remarks and outlining the significance of the day. He underlined that togetherness, a fresh perspective, and spiritual guidance are essential for Ghana’s development, especially during these trying times.
Heads of departments, clergy, traditional authorities, students and teachers, representatives from different churches, and members of the general public were among the diverse stakeholders that the program brought together. A collective dedication to the national call for spiritual rejuvenation and introspection was shown by the participation of these groups.
As the keynote speaker, Apostle Nana Yaw Adjei’s attendance was a noteworthy feature of the event. He urged citizens to be honest, peaceful, and patriotic in his speech, emphasizing that a society that is morally and religiously pure is better suited for national development. In their homes, workplaces, and communities, he called on everyone present to be change agents.
The Christian clergy led a number of intercessory prayers during the service, asking for the president and the country’s leadership, peace and security, youth, education, economic recovery, and the welfare of Ghanaians as a whole. Furthermore, traditional leaders—Muslim clergymen—including chiefs and elders from several groups led traditional prayers that invoked protection and blessings for the land and its inhabitants.
The occasion was solemn, serene, and energizing. Participants were motivated to reconsider their responsibilities as citizens and to reaffirm their dedication to the development and prosperity of the country. For making the event a success, the Kwaebibirem Municipal Assembly would like to thank everyone who took part, especially the religious organizations and traditional leaders.
To sum up, the Kwaebibirem Municipal Assembly’s National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving celebration was a spiritual triumph as well as a demonstration of the people’s solidarity, patriotism, and revitalized zeal. Supporting national directives that promote peace, progress, and the moral advancement of the populace is still a priority for the Assembly.
