REPORT OF SOCIAL SERVICES SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON 23RD MAY, 2024
The social services sub-committee met on 23rd May, 2024 at the Municipal Assembly conference hall, Kade.
The committee after electing its Chairman deliberated on several social issues and came up with the following recommendations
1 STRICTLY REGULATE THE USE OF PRAGIYA’ AND ABOBOYA’
The issue of minors operating/using commercial tricycle popularly known aspragya’ and aboboya’ was thoroughly discussed by the committee and recommends that, the Assembly strictly regulates its use (Pragiya’ and Aboboya’) to deter minors.
2. PROVISION AND DISTRIBUTION OF SCHOOL DESKS
The committee noted that, though the Assembly has been providing some desks to basic schools, some schools are still in need.
The Committee therefore recommends that, the Assembly procures more desks and make sure they are distributed to schools that are truly in need.
