The Kwaebibirem Municipal Assembly today, Tuesday, 4th August 2026, commissioned a number of completed development projects in Kade, marking another significant milestone in the Assembly’s efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance service delivery across the Municipality.
The commissioning ceremony, held at the Forecourt of the Municipal Education Office in Kade, brought together government officials, traditional authorities, Assembly Members, heads of departments, community leaders and residents.
The ceremony was graced by the Hon. Rita Akosua Awatey, Eastern Regional Minister, and the Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Nti, Municipal Chief Executive for Kwaebibirem, alongside other dignitaries and stakeholders.
Projects Commissioned
The projects commissioned included:
- Municipal Education Complex at Kade
- Office for the Municipal Police Headquarters at Kade
- 16-Seater Water Closet Toilet Facility at Okyinso
- Seven (7) Mechanised Boreholes with Overhead Tanks located at Anweam Nkwanta, Anweam, Okyinso, Akwan, Subriso, Asuogya and Kwasi Manya.
The projects are expected to contribute significantly to improving public service delivery, sanitation, security and access to potable water within the beneficiary communities.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Municipal authorities reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to providing infrastructure that responds to the developmental needs of residents and supports the socio-economic growth of the Municipality.
The Municipal Education Complex is expected to provide a more conducive environment for the administration and coordination of educational activities, while the new Police Headquarters office will strengthen the operational capacity of the Police Service within the Municipality.
Similarly, the provision of the 16-seater toilet facility at Okyinso and the seven mechanised boreholes with overhead tanks will improve sanitation and access to safe drinking water for residents in the beneficiary communities.
The commissioning of these projects demonstrates the Assembly’s continued commitment to ensuring that development reaches communities across the Municipality and that residents benefit from improved basic services and infrastructure.
