SENSITIZATION REPORT ON ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH ISSUES ON RADIO

A radio sensitization programme on environmental health issues was conducted on February 26, 2026, at Abibirem Fm station in Kade to educate the general public on key Environmental health issues

The programme, led by the Municipal Environmental Health Officer, focused on key issues such as proper waste management practices, awareness creation of the National Sanitation Day Clean-up exercises, proper drainage maintenance, food safety, and prevention of sanitation-related diseases like cholera, typhoid, and malaria.
Also, to inform the public about the bye-laws, and the Public Health Act in their roles in maintaining environmental cleanliness.

Listeners were encouraged to keep their surroundings clean, use approved waste disposal methods, and avoid indiscriminate dumping of refuse.
