The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Kwaebibirem, Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Nti, undertook a familiarization tour of eight towns within the municipality on Wednesday, 24th September, 2025, and Thursday, 25th September, 2025.

The purpose of the tour was to formally introduce himself to traditional authorities, Assembly Members, and community residents, while also engaging directly with stakeholders to assess developmental needs and strengthen collaboration for accelerated progress.

On Day One (24th September, 2025), the MCE visited Darmang, Abompe, and Adankrono. On Day Two (25th September, 2025), he continued with visits to James Town, Anweam/Asikam, Kwae, and Otumi. At each stop, the MCE, accompanied by selected Heads of Departments, interacted with chiefs, elders, Assembly Members, and residents, listening attentively to their concerns and aspirations.

The traditional authorities and opinion leaders warmly received the delegation and pledged their unflinching support in advancing peace and development within the municipality. The MCE, in response, expressed appreciation for their continuous cooperation and underscored the importance of stronger partnerships between the Assembly and communities in driving sustainable development.

Prominent concerns raised by the communities included poor road networks, inadequate health facilities, sanitation challenges, limited access to potable water, and youth unemployment. All questions and issues raised were duly addressed and clarified to the satisfaction of community members. The Hon. MCE assured residents that their concerns had been documented and would be given due attention by the Assembly in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Furthermore, the MCE used the opportunity to outline his vision for the municipality, with a focus on infrastructure development, improved educational and health systems, job creation, and enhanced community participation in local governance.

In conclusion, the familiarization tour achieved its objective of deepening relations between the Municipal Assembly and the citizenry. It provided a platform for open dialogue, strengthened mutual trust, and laid a firm foundation for inclusive and sustainable development across Kwaebibirem Municipality.
